PhD Mentoring: Building a Committee
I have written a set of guidelines and recommendations on how to choose an exam and dissertation committee. Written mainly for students in our PhD program at George Mason University, this guide also offers some advice and perspectives for students at other institutions, in MA and BA programs who must find thesis advisors, and anyone generally who is considering asking me to mentor research.

Letters of Recommendation and References
Thinking about asking for a letter of recommendation or reference? I'm probably happy to do it, but here is some info that will make the whole process easier for both of us (and probably for your other professors too!).
